Buying Jewellery Displays in Small Quantities: What to Check First
Share
Colour, pile and rigidity vary between batches and suppliers. A single sample answers what photographs cannot.
Measure the internal case dimension
Cases are rarely the size they appear. Measure inside edge to inside edge and buy trays that tile it with a few millimetres to spare.
Check the tone under your own lights
Black under showroom lighting can read brown under warm LEDs. Look at the sample in the case it will live in.
Ask about repeat availability
A display line that disappears leaves you unable to extend a set. Check the piece is a stocked line, not a one-off.
Think about the whole family
Buying a tray now and a matching bust in three months only works if both come from the same family.
Factor shipping into small orders
On light, bulky items shipping can exceed the goods on a very small order. Combining a few pieces usually costs little more than one.
Keep a photo record of what you own
When you reorder in a year, the model name matters more than your memory of it.
Buy for the case you have, not the shop you plan
Refits change everything. Buy what works today and keep the family consistent.
